Dr. Mahmut Özgül was born in 1985 in Ankara — Turkey’s capital city, a place defined by rigour, discipline, and ambition. From an early education at TED Ankara College to medical school at Başkent University, his path was always pointed toward excellence.

After years of residency training at two of Turkey’s leading academic hospitals, he qualified as a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2017. In July 2019, he opened his private practice in the Fenerbahçe neighbourhood of Istanbul — and hasn’t looked back.

Today, patients travel from across Turkey and around the world to sit in his consultation room. Not because of advertising. Because of results — and the trust those results quietly build.

TWELVE YEARS IN TRAINING. A LIFETIME OF CRAFT.

The path to becoming a plastic surgeon is not short, and Dr. Özgül walked every step of it. After graduating from Başkent University Medical School, he entered the demanding world of surgical residency — first at Maltepe University, then at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, where he deepened his skills in reconstructive and aesthetic procedures.

In 2018, his specialty thesis on fat grafting was published in the Turkish Journal of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery — a peer-reviewed recognition of the research and innovation he brought to the field even before entering independent practice.

Residency teaches technique. Experience teaches judgement. The years between have given Dr. Özgül both.

WHERE SCIENCE ENDS AND ARTISTRY BEGINS

Dr. Özgül’s surgical identity has been shaped by two parallel passions: the science of the body, and the art of proportion.

His primary areas of mastery include body contouring, liposculpting, and abdominoplasty. He has developed his own techniques in liposuction and liposculpting — methods refined through hundreds of cases, and continuously evolved through attendance at international congresses and symposiums.

He is equally recognised for his work in periorbital aesthetic surgery and facial rejuvenation: areas where a millimetre matters and where restraint is the highest form of skill. His approach is always to enhance what is genuinely there — never to impose an artificial ideal.
